Decided spontaneously on going and missed the first two acts, but still had a great time! I knew it was a label anniversary, but I didn’t expect the range of genres and styles. I arrived in time for Eares which was pretty intense post-everything (sleaze metal?) with strong vocals. After that we went upstairs for a DJ Once set, for which they could’ve turned the light off if they wanted people dancing lol. But it was a great set! After that came what was probably the strongest act of the night for me (schtum): two guitars with electronics building on each other in the most beautiful way. Then we got sets by Subletvis (pop-leaning in kind of way I appreciate especially in settings like this) and Misonica (great use of bass-heavy rhythms, if I had had any energy left I would’ve danced til the end). Apparently the Ventil = 10 celebrations will continue so I guess we’re in for more showcases!
