Hello!!! Is this still a pilot or the REAL THING?? Well, we have jumped the 15 subscribers mark like a Gamsbock fleeing a drunken hunter, and the product is also looking pretty pristine, so let’s call it real! The only thing that can still stop us is… well, us stopping – but that’s for another time. So let’s get into the vegan meat analogue of things!

…actually, this time, you’ll have to scroll down like in one of those annoying-ass online recipes to get to the actual point, because there’s some juicy just-announced-ments to make, as well as some other stuff:

For one, we would like to introduce you to one of a number of viennese music resources that we found: schalltaucherin.com is a Vienna-based one-woman-project hand-picking „fusion/avant/free jazz whatever that may be, electronic, noise, punk, new classical, improvised music, dance performances, post genre, non genre, whatever genre…“ on a weekly basis. You can find a gig calendar, newsletter sign-up, doodles made at gigs (!), and more on her website! From our very limited understanding we would say that the main differences to our newsletter are a) stronger leaning towards jazz and new classical music b) she’s more selective in general and c) she seems like she knows what she’s doing. BUT don’t worry, we have her OK to leech off her music taste like the Zecken we are! So after I collected this fortnight’s gigs, I looked thru her calendar and added everything I missed – you will find these gigs marked with „via schalltaucherin“ to give her credit and you some idea what kind of music might be expecting you there. Stay tuned and hopeful for more integration with the local cyberscene 🤖🤖🤖

Speaking of/in the first person singular – I finally took it upon me to click around in my webmail client for about two minutes to find the option of adding an alternative email address, so count yourselves among the 17 lucky ones to know my identity which will now slip into the mists of history – henceforth, you will hear but whispers and rumours of who hides behind this mysterious alias – and will be able to contact us (yes, us! this address now reaches more people than just one! your data is in unsafe hands 🤗) via viennalaerm@fastmail.com.
