WELCOME TO THE FIRST TEST RUN OF THE LÄRMLETTER WIEN :))))
With this newsletter we want to make accessible a wide array of good music in and near Vienna, aiming to center experimental and radical musics and de-center commercial stuff. In this approach we are heavily indebted to London Sound Index who are in turn inspired by the good work done before them. We will try to publish two newsletters a month, covering half the upcoming month each.

The accessibility symbols used below mean:
✅ = Fully accessible venue. May require purchase of wheelchair-access tickets or contacting the venue beforehand.
☑️ = Wheelchair accessible entry but no wheelchair accessible toilets; or, disabled access listed on website but need further info.
⏳ = we don’t know yet. This is the symbol you will see the most in this first edition because we still have to get in touch with many venues about this, but this is a priority! Also, we hope we can soon have a symbol for „full access, you for sure don’t need to get in touch before coming“ too!

Used-to-be political outcast (in Yugoslavia days) Slovene Industrial (and more) band re-touring their seminal “Opus Dei” Album (yes, it opens with a heavy cover of Opus’s “Life is Life”). Their appropriation of totalitarian imagery reminds me of Rammstein a bit too much, but without any scandal to their name and with a Žižek stamp of approval, I’ll stay with “uneasily fascinated” for now
